This essential time change is in the best interest of all participants, sponsors and local Team on Kilimanjaro, to help protect the safety, health and welfare of everyone involved. The understanding and support from all participants and sponsors has been superb and we now look forward to putting in place an exciting and tough virtual challenge scheduled for September 2020. In September 2021 fitness enthusiasts from around the world will come together for 12 days on an adventure of a lifetime. It’s an endurance challenge, that’s never been done before. A world’s first!
We’ll set off through the Machame route as one big team. During the journey to the summit you’ll face the weather, terrain and the altitude through jaw-dropping scenery. Everyone works together against the elements to reach Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest free standing mountain at 5896 metres, where we then descend into the crater for the unique challenge event.
Test your mental & physical strength in the world’s highest obstacle course challenge at the summit of Kilimanjaro. Crawl, move and climb through 10 iconic obstacles spread over 100 meters in the crater between the clouds to earn your unique World Record title.
It’s not a race against each other, it’s the team against the altitude & obstacles!
After completion, take a helicopter ride straight to your hotel. Celebrate in style with friends and family at our VIP after party in the UK, where you’ll be rewarded with your well-earned World Record certificate, giving you a good few years of bragging rights.See the route
It’s going to be tough, it will take serious determination, preparation and the right attitude to succeed. With over 45 years of combined adventure event experience and uncompromised commitment to safety, we’re here to support you all the way to the finishing line.
Participants will be invited to a unique UK-based simulation & preparation weekend taking place in July 2021, where you’ll get the chance to meet the team, experience the challenge and receive expert advice to help you prepare for what’s to come.
To ensure your success, we’re bringing together a 400-member local support crew for the Kilimanjaro event, including tour guides, medical staff and on-site high altitude filed hospital. You will be in safe and expert hands.
