Machame Camp
We will drive approximately 1.5 hours from Moshi to Machame park gate, where we will begin the journey through the mountain rainforest to Machame Camp

Shira Camp
We’ll trek through grassy moorland and heather to reach Shira Camp
- Trek Day 3
- 3,960 Metres

Barranco Camp
This day is an additional day for acclimatisation, where we will enter the alpine desert zone and climb up the steep Barranco Wall.

- 4035 Metres

Karanga Camp
We will take a short trek to Karanga Camp on compacted scree and steep areas over rocky slabs through the alpine desert.

Barfu Camp
The walk to Barfu Camp is steadily uphill. The camp is set on a wide ridge, where you will feel the temperature turns colder.
- Trek Day 6
- 5685 Metres

Stella Point
At around midnight, the group will begin trekking to the summit via Stella Point, Which is on the crater rim.

Uhuru Peak
On the same day, we will continue from Stella Point to Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Africa.

The Crater & OCR Challenge
On reaching Uhuru peak, we will descend into the crater, where the Guinness World Record breaking challenge will begin. You’ll be moving through 10 iconic obstacles spread over 100 meters. A high-altitude field hospital and medical helicopter will be on standby.

Descend Via Stella Point
On the walk down to the helicopter pick up, we will pass back through Stella Point.

Descend Via Barafu Camp
We’ll be passing through Barafu Camp before descending into the heather and moorland to Millennium Camp.

- 3950 Metres

Millenium Camp & Helicopter Pickup
After a well-deserved overnight rest and breakfast, we’ll take a helicopter ride down to Chanya Lodge, Moshi, where we will begin celebrating in the evening with an awards dinner.
